Large store, with a large selection, but lacking most basic items, instead having too many specialty items. Produce department is poorly stocked, dirty, and under maintained. The meat selection is pretty laughable and overpriced. They rarely have more than 1 manned registered and 2 self checkouts running. The parking lot is a nightmare with isles and parking spots too small, making it incredibly difficult to back out of a spot in anything bigger than a smart car.
I know the problem is this store in particular, not Weis in general as I have been to other Weis stores and had no issues. The customer service here is HORRIBLE. I've been to this store at different times of day, and it never changes. I've asked the customer service desk a question on where to find something, and I was given an attitude like I was bothering them (there were 2 people just standing there gossiping). This location has a hot food bar and a salad bar. The employees empty out the hot bar before customers even have a chance to get anything. I've watched employees get themselves a cup of coffee, and instead of paying, they just go about their merry way through the store. I've had cashiers standing around, chatting with each other instead of helping customers. The self service area has several machines, but only about half work at any given time (and there are no cashiers willing to help if there is a line at the self service machines). Like I said, I know it's not Weis itself. There are some great deals, and they do carry some items that other grocery stores do not. But I can't get past the very poor customer service and no longer shop at this location.
Fresh veggies, great import foods isle. They offer ready made deli trays, most grocery stores make you prefer order trays. They even have ready made fruit trays. Their seafood staff are very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing between farm raised and wild caught fish, another small convience but goes a long way, 5 stars, because you can now use your rewards cash at their connect gas station, definitely worth the extra star!
I love the large produce section and the hot food. They have store cooked chicken, deep fried and roasted. Also good pizza, deli and fresh baked goods. The prices are good and there is always a sale on something I like.
First time shopping here and I found it to be really nice. It was Christmas weekend so it was pretty busy. However, we got what we needed and got through the lines fairly quick. I think I can get use to shopping here.
