THE WORST moving experience I've ever had. For starters, they were an hour and a half late for their first job of the day. When I was upset about this, the guy started into a lament about how he worked every day and how he was sorry that he happened to wake up late that morning....When he saw that it was a one-bedroom apartment move, he said told me he didn't know why I was so upset because my move would be so quick....
And, when I looked in their truck before they left, lo and behold one of my very important boxes was sitting in their truck...they had failed to unload and said "they didn't know it was mine".
They made me sign some paper work BEFORE the move was done. When I asked what it was for, they explained that it said I agreed they had moved everything and nothing was damaged. Again, WTF? They should have done this at the end of the move.
From my experience, and those of others, this company seems to be very hit or miss, so if you want to be safe, go with a different company.
The 3 men weren't well coordinated. There was a lot of bickering between the three of them. I doubted one of them in particular knew anything about moving. He complained to me at one point that my desk was heavy....WTF?
I was then informed that I had to sign and pay for the move before they could unload the truck at the new apartment, and when I protested they told me there was nothing they could do and I could dispute damages and claims after the fact. I take responsibility for signing and paying when I shouldn't have, because obviously when I went to dispute damages I was told since I signed the form stating everything was fine, I had no legal recourse.
These people aren't serious and know nothing about moving.
all this while I had taken unpaid time off of my job that day to do this move.
The move took an hour longer than it should have, furniture was damaged, and in the end, when it became my word versus the movers, I felt like my voice wasn't considered at all.
I moved 2 weeks ago and had a less than ideal experience. There were several occasions where we found the movers taking breaks smoking or talking on their cell phones. There was at least a 20 minutes period where I watched a mover move one little piece at a time while talking on his phone.
